Perceptions

My work is about perception and mystery. It always begins with light. I work with photographic images and other materials to find things that are hidden, or things that we do not always see or notice. The things that intrigue me do so because they hint at larger systems and questions and invoke meanings that are never fully revealed. They emerge from deeper rhythms in nature. I think of my images  as visual poems about small moments in life that are rooted in deeper forces. The imagery I use seems sometimes to live and grow with its own internal logic. I see these moments on the blurred edge between knowing and not knowing.
